@Anina: thank you, this was hdr-ed. :)

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United States

This is a standout. The brass tones are glowing and vibrant.
Wonderful shapes well cropped to make it a very interesting and unique image !!!

@Dulcie: thank you, I wish a bit more was in focus (especially the thingy in the foreground) but it looked fine on the small camera screen.

Tamara from Aarschot, Belgium

Marvelous again... if I had to choose between the previous or this one I really wouldn't know which one is better... they're both incredible ! Good job Chris :)

26 Oct 2009 10:11am

@Tamara: thank you :) I liked them both too.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

I like the sort of antiqued look of this, veering more towards a warm sepia overtone rather than the bright yellowish hues of polished brass.

26 Oct 2009 10:58am

@Curly: thank you, this is an old trumpet, I forget how old, but i'd say around 15ish years old.

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

I like this point of view. Do you play?

26 Oct 2009 1:02pm

@Ralph Jones: thank you, yes i do play, i played trumpet in my middle school's jazz band,

MARIANA from Waterloo, Canada

Super framing . Love these golden tones and great light on it !

26 Oct 2009 1:07pm

@MARIANA: thank you, the lighting was tricky, i bounced the flash off a wall, and used my drawing for art (i'll post it when i'm done, its due tomorrow) as a bounce card. I also had a black backdrop just outside the edge of the frame to get that black reflection on the left side.

dideban from mashhad, Iran

Very very good shot

@dideban: thank you

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

@Viewfinder: thanks

Bill from Pacific Northwest, United States

Fabulous composition, color and detail. It's brimming over with energy because of the angle of view and the tight cropping.

26 Oct 2009 7:18pm

@Bill: thank you, I like the glow in the brass, it adds energy to the picture.

roy from ostend, Belgium
